NOTES:

  • Patience-Stone and Patience-Knife
    • Story centers around a daughter and her mother. 
    • The story is set in their house, meadows, and lastly a palace. 
    • When the daughter is home alone a bird keeps showing up and scaring her
    • The mom keeps having the daughter lock doors and hides from them but it does not help
    • The mother makes them stay inside until the girls come to ask the daughter to come out. 
    • When in the meadows a wall appears around the daughter. 
    • Mother waits by the wall 
    • a door appears, the daughter goes through and there is a palace. 
    • Uses keys to open doors and finds a Bey who said that whoever fans and prays by him shall find her kismet. 
    • The daughter was as a cook for a while, the Bey gave her a yellow patience-stone and a brown patience-knife
    • Told the stone her life story, what the bird told her, and describes what she and her mom went through
    • Went to stab herself but the Bey stopped her. 
    • Mother was called there and they lived happily.

This story is to show how fate plays in one's life.
